Guangdong Metals & Minerals Imp. & Exp. Corp. Ltd. (GDML) is a new type enterprise with the combination of scientific research, production and trade. As a holding company of the Guangdong Metals & Minerals Import & Export Group Corporation (Minmetals Guangdong) and on the platform of the two major industrial bases which it used to solely-own and with the best development prospect --- the Zhuhai Golconda Trading Co., Ltd. And the Grand Metal Manufactory, Ltd., the enterprise was set up to mark the joint venture of Minmetals Guangdong with its new strategic partner Guangxin Huifu Investment Corp. Through restructuring of assets and increasement of capitals.
GDML has a registered capital of 50 million Yuan. With about 40, 000 square meters of factory area, it is specialized in the production and export of silver-plated series of houseware, stainless steel sinks, steel and metal products, etc. With an export history for over 2 decades by its subsidiary, the products are selling well and winning satisfactions from customers in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North America, Middle East and Southeast Asia for their innovative design and high quality. In recent years, GDML has made some achievements in its Chinese domestic and oversea business, which mainly include:
1. Setting up its own brand with sharp image and leading position in the industry
GRAND is the brand of the two main products which were awarded the "Guangzhou Famous Brand" and "Guangdong Famous Brand" in 2006 and 2007 respectively. It has been successfully registered and used in 13 countries and regions all over the world.
2. Maintaining competitiveness in the market and steady growth in the business
To cope with the global financial crisis, GDML has endeavored to consolidate the existing market and progressively opened up the South Africa, East Europe, Latin America and Chinese domestic markets. Cooperating with powerful enterprises and expanding the marketing network will be our direction of development. In 2008, we set up the silver-plated wares display center in VIP Hotelex Hospitality Supplies & Equipment Complex in Panyu. It's the first step for us to start developing the Chinese domestic market.
